Ustad Meraj Ahmed Nizami is the most senior amongst the descendents (4th Generation) of Tan Ras Khan Sahib belongs to this well known Qawwal Bachchon Ka Gharana as well as Delhi Gharana. His family has been singing Qawwalis for last eight centuries. Khusro's tradition has passed unbroken across seven centuries and thirty generations. Ustaad Meraj Ahmed 'Nizami', current head of the Qawwal Bachche as well as Delhi Gharana, still sings in Delhi.
